This is the second Sculpture in my driftwood "Awaken" series. It is carved from spalted maple driftwood and perched above a California Redwood live edge base. Due to the porous nature of driftwood, a hardening oil (Danish oil) was used to seal the wood from within before adding a satin finish polyurethane. This gives the wood an ultra smooth glass like finish. Measuring 24"×38"×16", this one of a kind sculpture will make the perfect addition to your art collection and is sure to be a conversation starter.
